Experience
I have been an English tutor with tutor.com since July of 2013 but I prefer face to face tutoring, as you can observe so much more about a student when you can see their face. I want to tutor because it is rewarding and exciting to help a student grasp a concept they're struggling with. I have experience that ranges from helping a 2nd grader with her reading to college students with revising their essays. I am very familiar with both Mac and Windows, as I've owned/operated computers using Windows since I was a young child and I've recently left a job in a Mac computer lab. I am also pretty familiar with the Adobe Creative Suite--more specifically, I am familiar with Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, and Dreamweaver.

Hobbies
Something I am very passionate about is American Sign Language, and, while I am not an expert, I would say I'm at a higher intermediate level with my sign. I am an avid reader, a decent cook, and a passionate educator. I cannot stress enough how much I love and care about students and their learning. I try to find as many creative approaches as possible to engage our younger, media and technology saturated generation in their learning.
